And Ipswich fielded the £8m-rated Tyrone Mings, who Southampton released at 15 for being too small.
How well Southampton have done since Liverpool bought their best players, and our still 3rd in the table with a lot less spent on their squad than a lot of premiership clubs.
This is something I guess is what this club is trying to aspire too. The size of the 2 clubs are quite similar now.
