Can't see a major problem with that song personally. Poor taste yes but no big deal. I watched the game & didn't hear it though. Just loads of abuse aimed at John Terry & Frank Lampard etc. They deserve credit for being patriotic enough to be proud to play for their country considering thr abuse they get.

how is that "pretty poor taste"?

Lots of innocent, decent folk have lost their homes and businesses.....innocent man dies after confronting gangs. Economy screwed already....now going to get worse. Decent tax payers (including you) will pay for the damage. Not so sure Stoke should be so smug in their ivory tower considering the demographics of their area and the problems some of their neighbours have also faced.

I don't agree with racist or homophobic chanting at all but i think this was acceptable. I'm sure the Stoke fans weren't thinking about the poor folk who lost their homes etc when singing it - more the chavvy London-heads who caused havoc. This is football, there has to be some sort of leaneancy - I loved '1-0 to the talaban' at Luton, i'm not afraid to admit that :)

Please see a doctor at once and ask for a sense of humor transplant.

I can see why people dislike John Terry as the papers don't do him any favours. But when you see the england team singing our national anthem you can see him singing it with pride whereas other players stand in silence. He obviously loves captaining & playing for his (our) country so i just don't get why he is so hated. How about hating Jamie Carragher etc who refused to play for england? Or maybe that would involve using your brain rather than blindly following what the media says.
