it's results like this that really count at the end of the season. Not at our best, should probably have done better, could have conceded in the final seconds... but still got the three points.

Millen sounds like a dinosaur in the Steve Cotterill mold. The only thing missing is a moronic quote defending a career-threatening "challenge" from one of his more agricultural players. You have to feel for their fans really.

I don't think brizzle created more than one or two chances the whole game.

We looked dangerous in the second half part. when Lua Lua/Buckley came on.

If BC can get a decent creative midfielder - they should e ok.

City should stop whining about what should have happened. The match was there to be won and they didn't win it. Simple as!!!

Just seen the highlights on the Beeb and they showed 4 what can loosely be described as Bristol City chances.
It looked mainly like possession as two of the shots were blocked.

That struck me too. James did a great double save and also had to tip one over the bar from Dicker.

Ddin't Noone??? have a looping shot that hit the top of the netting (or was that Dicker's one). CMS should have really hit the target with a glancing header when we were 1-0 up to, that actually was a great chance.

The BBC seemed to think that James had a bit more to do than City's manager did

BBC Sport - Bristol City 0-1 Brighton

Listening to BBC Radio Bristol phone in on my short drive home, the City fans phoning in who had actually been to the game generally think that Millen is inept and Maynard is sulking. Not many though that they deserved to win. They are the biggest bunch of moaners out.

Noone's shot went onto the netting, Dicker's shot was tipped over.

To be fair, they have something to moan about... whereas everything's brilliant with us. I can just imagine if we still had a phone in, away fans after the game after we've beaten them tune in and all they hear is arguments over the quality of the Harveys, moans about the queues to get away from the stadium, moans about the cost of a ticket for a cup match, I bet the Albion win would barely get a mention!

i got the impression that james played a blinder...sour grapes perhaps.....noticed how the possession % ages swung dramatically in our favour over the last 15-20 minutes........that would indicate that we soaked them up and got on top in the closing stages .

I think they're right about both. Millen is not very imaginative and Maynard just doesn't want to be there. He knows that City have too many limitations for him to take them into the Premier League.
