Low inflation, low interest rates, rebuilding from the banking crisis, delaying the ridiculous Brexit Referendum and maintaining a political coalition that held for the full 5 year term, and you call THAT a disaster?!?

It's been 35 years since the Tories ran the show alone whilst displaying any sign of competence or strategy. This government is easily the worst in my 53 years.

It lasted because they introduced the Fixed Term Parliament Act! Wasn't there low inflation and low interest rates everywhere or are you going to claim the global economy have Cameron to thank for that. As for rebuilding from the banking crisis, what exactly did they do? As I remember, they did nothing but introduce a programme of austerity.

Promising there will be no re-organization of the NHS and then promptly doing just that.
Massively increasing university fees much to the embarrassment of Clegg.
Reducing the number of Police
Reducing the armed forces (because wars aren't fought like that anymore!!)

Good afternoon Mr Brine

At the age of 51, for the first time in my life, I today feel compelled to write to my Member of Parliament.

The confirmation today, that the Prime Minister and members of his household and government, were in attendance at illegal gatherings during the strictest period of covid lockdown, and have now been issued penalty notices for such, simply must see an appropriate response from Parliament and from the Conservative Party.

The Prime Minister broke not just any law, but an emergency law he himself introduced, to protect the public at the most critical of times. To show such contempt for those laws, and for the public he expected to follow them, must make his position completely untenable. If the Prime Minister had any decency or shame, he would step down immediately.

Further to the actual law-breaking of course, there is the matter that the Prime Minister, in clear breach of the Ministerial Code, stood before Parliament, and repeatedly and deliberately misled them about said breaches. I think the consequences of this are beyond any debate.

There is no justification for Mr. Johnson to stay in office. To do so would be incredibly damaging to the very idea that our politicians are here to serve us, and that they will be held to be accountable for their actions and behaviours. Every day Mr. Johnson remains, will further erode any remaining public trust, not only in the government of the day, but in our democratic process moving forward.

It is your absolute duty as a Member of Parliament, and also as a member of the Conservative Party, to take the necessary steps, to ensure the right thing is done.
