Incredible that the idea was even dicussed at a fans liaison meeting. Even more that it wasn't dismissed out of hand.

Just goes to show that the sort of people who attend such meetings are not representative of the overall fan base.

At least the club have responded to realising how poor a decision it was. If only fans of other clubs would make their feelings known, this dreadful creeping addition to British stadiums could be eradicated.

I think it is gradually, and thankfully, being eradicated.

When I think of clubs who are usually at the forefront of crappy, plastic, unnecessary "innovations" that in no way enhance the game, Bolton Wanderers are usually the one who spring to mind, and I've noticed on MOTD recently that they've binned goal music too.

Perhaps there is hope for the rest of football after all. When Middlesbrough scrap it we'll know we're on the way to success

Watching the Norwich v Ipswich match on BBC the other day, the thing that struck me most was how awful it was hearing their god-awful goal music every time they scored. It would almost make me hope we don't score if it were ever to be introduced!
