Fred could be a good call for the 3rd tier

The lowest player in the top ten in the third tier has 60 goals. Sadly I'm pretty sure Fred wouldn't have hit that in his two and a bit seasons with us.

Thinking Bill Cassidy although a bit of a wild guess as I dont remember him being especially prolific but we were largely down in the bottom division when he was with us in the early to mid sixties

I thought Bill was later 60's, and more of an inside left i think.I started in 64, and didnt Bill come later?
I thought Charlie Livesey was a good guess, but i'll keep racking the noggin

Nice one SG, Bill Cassidy it was.
Anyone remember a game when the ref got poleaxed by the football. Play carried on until Bill grabbed the whistle from around the refs neck to blow it and stop play.
Trouble was he nearly strangled the ref in doing so.
