I thought the ref last night had a great game, even going back to book their player after playing the advantage.

I don't remember one dodgy decision and he let the game flow a smuch as he could.

Not often we say this but well done Ref

Agreed - I thought he was very good - especially considering the fairly combative aerial battle early doors.

Pity the linesman let him down with two of the most shocking 'offside' decisions ever - people around us just laughed, they were that bad :)

Me and my mates were saying the same thing after the game.

Referee's get a lot of stick but the one last night was excellent and used common sense(which referee's should do more often).

I thought they were told in the summer break not to use their common sense ???

The biggest aspect of his game last night was that he didn't favour one side over the other at any point during the game, let the game flow

He reminded me a bit of that ref in the "gayest ref" thing on here recently with some of his gestures!:D

The referee did do very well last night. And was certainly one of the better ones to come to Withdean. That said he did have a game that did not require him to make any big decisions.

Hove, f***ing ACTUALLY.
Yes he had a very good game, but he seemed to want to talk to players instead of just getting the power trip and showing cards.
Still it wasn't really that difficult a game to referee really was it ?

edna krabappel found a site where you can mark the ref. The ref we had last night was already one of the top ones.

You can also look at the ref you have for coming matches

The only problem with that site is that Phil Prosser is in the top half of the 'National' refs list. Either he has been judging his own performances or there are a lot of exceedingly poor refs below him!
Still take a look at the bookings and sendings off. He has already shown 27 cards (9 in one match!!) including 4 reds. He also appears to pick mainly on one team in any given match. Now where have we seen that before.
