That's all very well if we get 6 points from the next 3 games. The worry is that we are at the start of another poor run of games.

Try not to worry Blue Valkyrie.

The same worry people had following defeats to Swindon and Hull and the draw v Cardiff at the start of the season ???

Swindon 2nd half was a shambles. Hull and Cardiff did not make me worry. We were very good against Hull and were unlucky to lose. Cardiff were a cut above us most of the game and I was happy with a draw. The last two games, however, have been pretty dire imo. Not necessarily a reason to worry but it seems that suggesting Gus may have got it wrong and struggles tactically against teams that try and stop us playing having scored, is not acceptable to quite a few. Oh well..

Truth is top of the league has flattered us.

Then the truth is all managers in the Championship struggle tactically as by extension everyone has lost badly, and had both poor and good runs (toward the top at least).

I don't think Gus got it wrong last night as such, just his players didn't perform, they didn't do the simple things well. The manager can't be responsible for everything, and the players to my mind let him down last night, nothing more, nothing less.

I didn't expect to be top so it's a bonus. Last 2 performances v poor, but I'm not getting in a pickle about it. Still very pleased overall.

Agreed. What frustrates me the most about the team at the moment is the pace at which we play. It is so, so slow that it gives the opposition all the time in the world to decide how to counteract what we are trying to do. Both Birmingham and Ipswich clearly showed that they were not frightened of what we had to offer in the slightest, which is worrying in two apparently average teams. Have we really become so transparent and predictable? Sadly, it looks like it.

Zebedee - spot on - when we are being squeezed by our opponents you need all the offensive guys working really hard off the ball, to make the opening for the next pass and the next pass. Too many statues standing around against Birmingham and Ipswich IMO. Roll on Derby - they will attack us and hopefully give us a bit more time on the ball.

Yeah, I thought that last night.

Anyway, here's a rhetorical question. At the start of the season would you have taken 3rd place after 9 games? I know I would have.
Didn't you just know, when some fans were singing "We're Brightonove Albion, we're top of the league" it was just tempting fate?

Seems that the worries were right - just 1 point from those 3 games.

When is this bad run going to end???
