McNulty.
Murray.
Elphick.
Virgo.

I'd like to say Forster. But i dont think he would. Class player though don't get me wrong, but in answer to the question, this season i don't believe he is capable. Call me ageist if you like!

He will obviously play a few less games but I think he will still be one of our top players.

So, on the whole, we have Kuipers, Whing, McNulty, Virgo, Elphick, Cox, Murray & Forster. On that basis, must be worth a few quid for a playoff place.

Although a lot of people are including Virgo I think it's worth saying that he was decidedly dodgy this season and he will have to improve to be considered as a top League 1 player. It's very easy to criticise whoever he was paired with but the fact is that he dropped off massively from his first season and unless he recaptures early form he is not a player capable of taking us up.

Virgo at CB where he is supposed to play is bloody superb, sorry but he showed promotion form towards the end of last season and marshalled the entire defence.

Sorry folks - I of course meant Elphick in that post!

Virgo - brilliant centre back

Elphick - showed promise, could be good - see original post

Spider - fool!

Elphick Murray Lynch. Top three players in the squad and could hold their own in any team in league1.

Forster McNulty Whing. Forster and Whing very determined players but I feel they lack the technical prowess of those mentioned above, don't get me wrong very good players.

Forster, over the last two seasons, has in my view been our best player, not just because of his 100% commitment, but also in terms of his technical ability. His intelligent movement up front is a joy to behold and shows that he has played at a higher level. But for his absence through injury, I think he would have been player of the season this year.

I like Elphick and Virgo at CB, but both have a lot of work to do on their distribution if they want to be considered anything more than dependable League 1 players. It is particularly disappointing to see the hoof upfield become the default option for Virgo, particularly as he more than held his own in the Championship four years ago. Agree though with others that he marshalled the defence superbly at the end of the season.
