Tell Eurovision that :ROFLMAO:
It's embarassing we have anything to do with it. Winning it would see many great artists turning in their graves. . . And a few alive ones.

There's a band called Roy Harper? Isn't that rather confusing when there's a folk singer with the same name?
I wonder if there’s a female singer called Joy Division?

Brighton factually.....
I remember seeing them while at Uni at the Princess Charlotte in Leicester. Tiny venue but bloody hell they were loud. Proper sweaty too. A great gig.
Great venue, I used to love it there, went many a time for Psychobilly gigs and all dayers back in the 90s and stayed in dodgy B&Bs on Saxby street, wonderful times.

When Pat Nevin was still playing, and was ‘coming out’ as different, and substantially cooler than your average footballer, he did an interview (I think with the NME) in which he said his favourite band was Joy Division.

The Sun printed the interview, almost verbatim.
However, they claimed he enjoyed the music of someone called ‘Joy Davidson’.

Joy division
Roy harper
If someone has listed MBV and Joy Division as their two favourite artists and said 'guess my third', I don't think anyone in the world would have said Roy Harper!

Good venue, the Chatlotte - shame it closed down.

UK bands are just extraordinary. Not sure m/any from outside the UK would get in my top ten. The US does solo artists very well though, as do non-Anglophones -- much better than the UK.
I can give you at least 5 decent bands from most moderate sized nations.

But France is something else.
Can you even name 3 French bands?

These are all on my iPod

Little Nemo
Kas Product
Hante (but....solo artist....not a band)
