UK bands are just extraordinary. Not sure m/any from outside the UK would get in my top ten. The US does solo artists very well though, as do non-Anglophones -- much better than the UK.

I remember seeing them while at Uni at the Princess Charlotte in Leicester. Tiny venue but bloody hell they were loud. Proper sweaty too. A great gig.

I bet I saw them at a very similar time (night before/after) in a pub in Nottingham, cant remember the name now. Very early 1990. January/February Id say.
