Seem to recall the loan deadline is later than the transfer deadline in terms of playing the next day. Pretty sure we've exploited that in the past by signing them on loan for a day and then converting it into a transfer?

Besides, wouldn't expect any new players to go straight in, no time to train with the players and get to know how we play etc. Could get on the bench of course.

Spot on. Orlandi is ideal for the bench because obviously he plays the same style as we do already. Most other players will probably need a week or so to get used to it etc.

Wasn't this on another thread and it was said that the deadline was 12 noon for permanent and 3pm for loans but still I seem to remember us signing somebody during our Withdean days at 12 noon on a Saturday on loan and they played and also signing one player about 4., pm and they played in an evening game, sure somebody will remember more details.
