Just far enough away from LDC
Bold argument time here but I'm not worried about the three coming down. If I had to pick one who may put a good run next year it would be Newcastle and we always beat them.

I don't see any reason to worry about Villa. They are in a complete shambles meltdown. I can honestly see them in a rele scrap next season. Sure as eggs-is-eggs they ain't going to be in the promo places.

Looking forward to visiting Villa Park again, a proper football ground.

We can look forward to next season, but Tony really needs to see off any bids for Knockaert and Kayal as a minimum. And Goldson.

Stephens may go, Dunk possibly most likely to go.

Sell no more than 1 player please Tony this summer - we have a fantastic squad to 'strengthen from a position of strength.'

The worst thing now would be to sell the 4 or 5 best players and have to have a total rebuild.

Serious question, not a wind up.

Is Dunk actually any good? Every time you are on sky he seems to either get sent off/score an own goal/**** up.

We keep being linked with him £5-7million but it seems only Brighton fans actually rate him.

loads of people rate him in the media. In my eyes he's a very, very good Championship level defender- what's stopping him from playing at a higher level and succeeding there is his indiscipline (occasional costly errors, silly fouls etc.) and this is what is stopping premier league clubs from seriously going for him.

He is, IMO, a bit of a poor man's John Stones. On his day outstanding. When it's not his day, costly. If he can get his head right and not succumb to ridiculous challenges like the ones that got him sent off against QPR and Derby (or needless ones like the one he made on Barton against Burnley that lead to their equaliser)he'll be a premier league player. If.

Has Tony got more wonga to splash??

He has, but when to spend?
FFP is now a 3 season period rather than one season, with Parachute payments getting bigger for next seasons relegated prem clubs it might be tempting to go large this coming season. Others will, so if he is more conservative and averages the spend over 3 years, next season could be very tough.
No emergency loans from next season either, which is going to affect how clubs spend on their squad.

The rules need changing. They're supposed to stop relegated teams going bankrupt, but they allow teams like Burnley to spend millions on a striker like Gray. And the teams that do break the rules (Leicester, Bournemouth, Middlesbrough) are laughing all the way to the bank.

Next season could be ridiculous.

Youre not wrong Trig

LCFC - a brilliant achiveement this year, one of the greatest in footballing history.

But for the last two season's they were trying to get of the Championship, they were collosal over spenders, ''cheating' their way to the PL with a star studded squad.

Absolutely, and their accounts appear to be pretty creative, just take a look at this excellent piece of journalism from David Conn.

Parachute payments should be a fund to draw on as a last resort to stop administration / bankruptcy but come with a points penalty for every million pounds drawn from the fund.

5pts deducted per million would seem fair.
