Tony Adams - Wycombe Wanderers

Looks like Tony Adams will be appointed as manager of Wycombe Wanderers within the next few days according to BBC Sport.

Will he make it as a manager ?

Former Arsenal and England defender Tony Adams is expected to be named as the new Wycombe manager on Wednesday.
Wanderers chairman Ivor Beeks has told the BBC the club will announce their new manager on Wednesday, with Adams the red-hot favourite to make his first move into management.

The 37-year-old, who retired in 2002 after 18 years at Highbury, will take over from caretaker-boss John Gorman.

Gorman has been in charge since Lawrie Sanchez was sacked in September.

The decision on where he starts his coaching career is one he is taking very seriously

Steve Kutner
Adams has sought the advice of former Wycombe manager Martin O'Neill, who is now in charge of Celtic.

Adams' adviser Steve Kutner has confirmed the ex-England captain has been approached about the vacancy.

Kutner told the Daily Mail: "Tony has been impressed by the people at Wycombe and had a chat with Martin O'Neill, who was very encouraging about the club.

"We have been approached by a few clubs who have been interested in making Tony manager - but the decision on where he starts his coaching career is one he is taking very seriously."

I think he will.
He always seems very clued up on the game whenever I've read the columns he used to do (The Telegraph ?) during the World Cup. Seems to have a calm authority, and is a natural leader. Good to see he'd be starting at a lesser club and not diving straight in with a top job. I reckon he'll be a success.

Also, he's boned Caprice, so will instantly have the respect of the dressing room
