The table doesn't lie I suppose, although if you look at expected goals, our positions would look quite different. Just shows that our finishing has not been up to scratch this season - previous seasons I believe we have outperformed our xG, so either we've been lucky and are now unlucky, or our previous main striker was quite a bit better than the average striker.

Please excuse me for asking, why did they do this last night?

I'm thinking it is because June is considered Pride Month in many places around the world, which is because 1969's Stonewall uprising in NYC occurred in June. Obviously domestic football is not usually played in June, so celebrations of Pride at football matches take place at other times during the season.
