Don't understand why people would support Spanish Barcelona against English Liverpool

Can't speak for others, but I have Catalan ancestry on one side of my family, which gives me at least some form of link to Barca.

In any case, people shouldn't need a reason to support who they like, nor, IMO, should they feel compelled to support a team just because they play in England.
