We have strikers that are useless in the air.

So what do we do? We send over cross upon cross upon cross.

What for?

Barcelona play possession football. Do they send over crosses all game? No they keep possession and play little 1-2s in and around the box. If Gus wants us to try and emulate these sorts of sides we have to stop doing this. All that happens is that we lose possession.

Oh and Dobbie needs to start instead of Barnes for a few games.

I agreed with you during the match but on reflection I'd have to say that Peterborough had parked a bus in the box throughout the match, there was no way our players were going to be able to play it along the floor in the box tonight, hence why it took us 91 minutes to break then down.

Agree with every letter of that, well said.

To be fair though CMS alone had 3 headers, one of which was unmarked and was almost straight at the keeper.

Gus made this point himself in his post-match interview, highlighting the corners and how we do little from them as we don't have the players for it.

His point: we need to keep it down and keep passing it.

We were talking about this tonight. When was the last time Brighton scored from a header at home? Did we score one against Barnsley (my brain's going in my old age)

The problem is that once the opposition surrendor the pitch and decide to camp on the 18 yard box it is very hard to pass it through them so inevtably balls are crossed into the box.

Thats when we need someone who can head and create space.

After 10 minutes of the second half Peterborough had stopped trying to play against us.
