I am so excited I've been chasing my tail ALL WEEK. I actually CANNOT wait for tomorrow. To the point where I'm seriously considering necking enough sleeping pills to knock me out until tomorrow morning so I can just wake up and BUY IT.

Wired called it "Jaw-droppingly spectacular" - Uncharted 3: Drakes Deception Is Jaw-Droppingly Spectacular (With Giveaway!) | GeekDad | Wired.com

Digital Spy described it as a "contender for best PS3 title" - review (PS3) - Gaming Review - Digital Spy

Gamespot claimed it "pleases on all fronts" - Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception Review, Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception PS3 Review - GameSpot.com

So don't just take my word for it. This is the gaming event of the DECADE.

I'm going to wait and get this at christmas, got too many other games to play at the moment. Got high hopes though, the last game was easily one of my favourite this generation.

I can't get it just yet unfortunately. I'll be waiting patiently until I get paid in a couple of weeks (and have a few days of work too).

Can't wait though. The second one was spectacular and this looks even better

I didn't pre-order this as I was expecting a very busy november. Now it turns out I have a free few days so I'm down at asda for 00.01.
Hoping to get in 7 hours before the current girlf gets up.

I've never really got into this series. Just recently finished Uncharted 2, but not keen on games that are so linear and prefer the freedom to roam as I please at times (like GTA, Red Dead Redemption, Fallout etc). Also found the camera angles quite annoying at times. Saying that the story line was decent and visuals were very good.

See I like "sandbox" games with the freedom to roam, such as Fallout and GTA but I still find Uncharted to be AWESOME. Whilst the levels are linear, they're still open and wide enough to make you feel like you could go anywhere AND the sheer size of the game (certainly Uncharted 2 anyway) as well as the variety of the locations means I don't miss having the total freedom you get in open world games.

I hadn't thought about going to Asda at midnight to pick this up. In fact I'm a little annoyed that I can't really now, as I've already PAID to pre-order it from Game. Still, it does mean I get to stare into the beautiful eyes of the totally hot computer game loving girl who works there, as I wait for her to bag up my new game, unable to actually muster a sentence because I'm too in awe of her awesomeness.

I just didn't get the sense of freedom myself. I like to pick and choose different missions and if I am stuck on one part go off to another part of the game and do a bit there before coming back to it. Looking forward to Skyrim.

Will probably get Uncharted 3, just when it's been out for ages and drops to £15-£20 or so.

You're right there's no "pick and choose" element but I found the last one was paced just right so that no one section kept me stuck for long, and there were always fresh challenges ahead.

I keep hearing a lot of good things about Skyrim, and being a fan of the Fallout games I figured this might be a good bet HOWEVER in preparation for its release I bought Oblivion for a fiver the other day and was bored of it very quickly.

There's something about not having a gun in a first person game that I just don't find quite right.

I'm a sucker for collecting things, earning XP and levelling up skills so in principle I should love the Elder Scrolls games. Perhaps I will give Skyrim a chance, but I fear that fantasy just doesn't work for me in the same way sci-fi does. Hence Fallout and Mass Effect have kept me occupied for hours and hours whilst games with orcs and swords just haven't held the same appeal.

MW3 is all that matters

Not even close.

MW3 will be fun for a couple of hours, but then you've finished it.

Uncharted 2 was VAST and took a considerable amount of time to complete.

Uncharted is more like the Star Wars Trilogy in scale, to Modern Warfare's 2 part miniseries, on rock sediment.

I know what you mean, parts of Oblivion were quite boring and really repetitive, but I quite like sword fighting and the rest of the game was brilliant!

This. Need to finish Batman, slightly addicted to BF3 online and MW3 next week. Gonna get Uncharted 3 for Crimbo as its all about single player, online is a bit wank.

Skyrim as well soon. :/

Finished it? I won't even start it! Online multiplayer man, that's all I care about

Well then why aren't you playing Battlefield 3? By all accounts that's infinitely better for online play.

Personally I just don't get online. I need to be challenged by AI, and not real people.
