I don't know if the rules have been changed lately, but a few years back a rule was brought in limiting the number of tracks on a CD single to three. Any more, and it's not allowed into the singles chart. This rule was still in force during the Otway campaign, but since then I've not followed the charts especially closely.
Just thought I'd ring some alarm bells, as it would be a shame if the single didn't make it into the charts for such a daft reason.

So would having four songs on the CD cause a problem now?

Just looking on HMV, a single that has 6 tracks on it got into the charts this week.

You are allowed 3 songs. Remixes don't count. So two versions of GOSBTS (same track, one with b/vox, one without) are OK. I've checked with Skint. They know what they're doing!
