Look

We have done all we can to get Falmer, we have written letters, gone on walks, put up posters etc etc etc

Now what do you think the board can do as a thankyou for all the efforts of us fans.

I have one request.

TERRACING IN A PART OF THE GROUND AT FALMER.

Why don't we have one area behind one of the goals like Rushden, etc where people can stand without fear of being video'd by over zealous coppers, told to sit down by Stewards and other miserable bastards and also without the fear of the dreaded Martin Perry "sit down or your'e banned" letter.

Surely its not too much to ask.

Surely the plans put in to the Inquiry were for a 22,000 all seater stadium and that cannot be changed?

Horse before cart at the moment though isn't it. Getting permission for the damn thing is the be-all and end-all at the moment, we can worry about the details once its granted. Not much point lobbying DK and MP on having a terraced section at this stage.

And if our ultimate aim is the Premiership, you HAVE to have an all-seater stadium, or plans to convert to all seater within a year or two anyway. Don't get me wrong, I'd LOVE to have a terraced section at Falmer, but I can't see it ever happening (the terrace I mean, not the stadium).

Great idea Dave but as CTS said, the plans are for a 22,0000 all seater stadium.

Would be good to have a few of the old North Stand serges (sp) though :p

See my answer to the 'Want Falmer?' question to the left.

As soon as we get Falmer (our current campaign) we should all join in and use the fantastic organisational skills and protesting abilities we have shown to support the campaign for the return of terracing.

We are obviously not aiming for the premiership! a 22,000 stadium is only good enough for the 1st division at best, also it's not symetrical (sp) so expanding would be difficult at best.

The germans have terracing areas that convert into seats and are the safest in europe.

Ajax have an Area for the most fanatical supporters and police and stewards don't go near it, sort of like a big singing section and it sounds and looks amazing (they also have a flag bigger than ours :( and is superb)

Italy there seating is concrete with bum bits screwed into them, no backs, more like benches really.....

UK is the only country where we are over zealous about sitting....

As for old bill filming you, you think putting terracing up will stop them filming you, no way there will be at least 5 cameras covering each section behind the goals and probably twice and many on the North/South Stands!

Let's hope When/IF we go to falmer the club Modernise - the PA system must be sorted, also playing 60/70s music - same music nearly every week is getting a bit boring - GOSBS is great to come out to but maybe needs a bit of a facleft...

(not want to argue just stating my observations and opinions :) )

Errr, scuse me. Without getting delusions of granduer here, Falmer will be a more than adequate stage for Premiership football.Clubs such as Fulham, Bradford, Leicester (at Filbert St),Watford, Portsmouth etc have brought Premiership football to their grounds in recent seasons with REGULAR crowds of not much more than the 20,000 mark. OK, with varying degree's of success, but I see no reason why we can't establish ourselves as a decent D1 club over 4 or 5 seasons, and then push on from there.

We're obviously never going to be one of the "big boys", but I think in the long term, we have to have Premiership aspirations, otherwise whats the point ?
