Todays Arsegas (non footie)

What's interesting about the cuts that Brighton and Hove City Council are having imposed upon them is their decision NOT to cut the road improvements at Woodingdean that are considered essential to avoid congestion when the stadium opens.

The original source of funding (Department of Transport Integrated Transport Capital Grant) has dried up, but the Council will find the £410,000 from elsewhere (the proceeds of a land sale at Park Wall Farm, Falmer).

I guess that is evidence that the City Council are still backing the stadium project, even in hard times.

The work will be done in this financial year.
