There's something in the acoustics as normally I sit family stand and don't hear the away fans much, but I was in the East today next to the away fans and can assure everyone they sang the entire game and were loud, with most of them joining in. Our atmosphere on the other hand was mostly non existent...

Acoustics must be weird. I sit above the family stand, but only heard boro about 3 times. BHA were quiet for most of the game but the few times when it got going it was a lot loader than boro.

As for outplayed. Did boro have a shot on target. A lucky deflection and a one on one they spunked was all I saw in 90 minutes. They came to defend and did it by flooding the penalty box with 8 - 10 players whenever BHA attacked. The answer had to be some very quick attacks but unfortunately the build ups seem to always give them the time to get the numbers in the box. They were very lucky that none of the pinball in the box ending up with a few goals.

this. I'm normally in the north so know how loud it is there usually. Tody i sat in east lower next to the 'boro lot and they didnt shut up, and I couldny hear the north, or wsu, and very rarely the south. So enough of this billy big balls my stands better than your stand, the acoustics in the stadium are shite.

Shocking atmosphere in the North today, we lacked any passion, it was boring and lacked creativity a bit like the players on the pitch really.
The trouble with the North, is we now have three different groups trying to sing, you have the NSK in the western side, the judge in the centre and then another group in the eastern side.
If everyone one could sing together and sing a song for more than 30 seconds it would make the north stand a lot louder.

This. I'm a ST holder in WSU but sat today in the SE corner. Boro fans loud in 1st half, our fans too quiet and slightly embarrassing but we picked up in 2nd.

Fair play to the judge though! Keep it up mate.

problem is all 3 sections start trying to sing 3 different songs at the same time. by the time the other two sections jump on board with one other section the songs nearly over. exception: 'albion, albion' or 'seagulls' these ones catch on very quickly and get very loud very quickly.

answer to above dilemma: someone sneak judge in a megaphone so we all start on the same song ;)

This is true. Often thought that myself. It seems as if there is a competition particularly between west side and middle. Trying to outdo each other rather than sing as one.

Didn't hear them at all from the North stand and they didn't really outplay us - we had a lions share of the chances just couldn't f**king stick them away.

We weren't outplayed. Even well off top form we still should have scored at least twice.

As for the atmosphere, I just think many fans are getting as exasperated as Gus is about the strikers' inability to put away chances.

Very interesting comments from him afterwards. You could easily have read it as a pretty thinly-veiled attack on Barnes and CMS especially for the double-miss in the second half. But Hammond's 'header' and CMS again in the first half saw chances about as you get in these tight games wasted.

This is heading for fireworks if we draw another blank at Leicester.

After the Millwall win, when we were top, Gus was asked directly what was different about this season in terms of not then going on a 10-game winless streak and sliding down the table.

He very confidently - and I agree with him - cited a stronger and more experienced squad, with a year of Championship football behind them, and a lot more quality.

However, that is four games, no win. I can't personally see us winning at Leicester, though I'd love to be proved wrong. We are playing many of the better sides in the coming weeks. It's a run that has to be stopped as soon as possible.

I can understand your frustration with the teamwork in the north we have a similar thing in the WSU, the north end sing, south end sing but very poor performance from the middle section.

We could hear the north from the south end and to be fair at times the south stand matched you. I heard nothing from the east all day and boro were good at points but then so they should be when they are 1 nil up with the home support quite, but the latter part of the game the tempo was lifted from players and fans.
My big fear is the Amex atmosphere can create a tension when things are not going right and that could be effecting our players.

Players, manager and fans all need another gear at the moment IMO.

To be fair the North was not that loud today, the Judge did his bit as always but not many joined in,have to agree though the acoustics are not good:albion2:
