Yeah, to be fair to you, that's a very good point. I just think the players should be a little bit more mature and accept that not all the fans are going to love all the players all the time. If they look at nsc as a WHOLE, I think it reflects the mood of the club pretty well, and the unnecessary abuse is fairly rare. If a player plays poorly they will get criticised, but the next week they may play well and will be praised. That's just how it works. No point in the players getting all sensitive about it.

I still think an nsc player of the month is a good idea, and you never know, it may help some of these players realise that even if we criticise 1 or 2 of them we're really on their side.

But the same token, don't you think it right and proper that mor fans should be a little more mature as well, and appreciate that abuse does nobody any favours?

Players can take criticism but most choose the Gary Hart approach of avoiding NSC, The Argus, the phone-in etc if they've had a 'mare. When they read abuse they tend to treat it like anyone else who reads abuse from some tit sitting behind his keyboard who knows nothing about them (take note Keeping the Dream Alive) ie; they think "what a twat" and move on. They certainly don't sink into 'everyone hates me' paranoia.
