you people, who were in block N1, row 3,

why don't you just f*** off.

i am supporting my team.

one idiot asked me to sit down at 2.15pm, after i had been in the ground for 5 minutes!

i told him there was absolutely no chance of that so he may aswell not bother.

apprently the same bloke was heard moaning during the game that 'if this were a premiership match, we would all be sitting down'. Shut the f*** up and go and watch chelsea then you twat.

We were in block M38 and most of our block was standing constantly, and the stewards didn't say a word. Great moment when the "stand up if you want Falmer" chant started and it became apparent that EVERYONE was going to stand............apart from the people you were sitting in front of I bet the full harris.
You should have been in our block.:)

Did not have much problem with having to sit down. However I did have an issue with the family sitting next to me. They just sat there the whole game and did not even cheer once.

I was quite drunk so I was singing and shouting and can vaguely remember when we scored, they just sat there, even at this moment. The son, only about 10 years old, was right next to me so I was trying not to swear too much... I dont think I was too successful.

Maybe it was their first game or maybe they were MANure supporters?

Was quite surprised when about 5 mins into the game everybody around me started to sit down, I thought that everyone would have been standing for the whole 90 mins. ???

Must admit i struggled not to swear too much with a bloke and his youngster in front of me, but a game like that i just couldn't help it in the end.

We were in a semi-sitting block, U10, but no-one was too fussed when you stood up, which being so excited i did quite regularly especially joining in with all the chanting! :D

Still buzzing from the result......... a terrific day out and can't get over the experience!

i was so pissed off with people behind telling me to sit down that i asked them if they were one of the 493 at Tranmere and Stockport etc

idiots

To the people behind me, asking me to sit down, I say ...

"Welcome back to the Albion. I know you have got out of the habit of coming to games, because we've got a crap stadium and you can't get hold of tickets. Things have changed a bit since the days of the Goldstone and in modern stadiums they put terrace supporters in with grandstand supporters. When we get to Falmer, it will sort itself out. But, just for today, I'm afraid, you've found yourself mixed in with a lot of people who really do miss the terraces. Most people will sit down in a few minutes, but I'm sure that even you will want to join in when we start chanting 'STAND UP IF YOU WANT FALMER'. Enjoy the game".

Got moaned at by the row infront cause we kept knocking into them when jumping up and down, standing up for the Falmer songs etc, they didnt even stand when we scored, got the trophy or anything. Two of our party were glory hunters (they live in Brighton but support other teams) who joined us for a day out, but both of them entered into the spirit of things joining in with all the singing and were blue and white for the day.

We were right round by the Bristol supporters so a few of our blokes were winding them up (as you do)

We did sit down for some of the match but spent the majority of it standing. No moans around us but as it was difficult to sing where we were (the Bristol fans were loud to us) we did get some funny looks for trying to sing really loud.

The only time I sat down was during the National Anthem!

Not quite true, but nobody told me to sit down, most people round me were on their feet a lot of the time. As someone else has said the stewards were very tolerant.

Me and my lot were dead lucky in U36. About 4 rows in front was Norman and Mark Williams, and as every row behind us was standing, we had no trouble standing up for the whole of the match.
Absolutely brilliant, just like being back on the Goldstone terraces.

Some small children were behind us so we felt obliged to sit down, until we found any opportunity to stand that included: everytime we got the ball, started singing.....

Some bloke behind me sat for the entire game, and even tugged on my shirt when I stood up for Falmer...Must be a hardcore fan!

I felt bad standing up in periods, but he looked able enough to, but I think he didn't want to crease his Chinos too much! :lolol:

There were a couple sitting behind me who were the most miserable people I had ever met. I think he may have managed a slight smile when we won.

The atmosphere was never going to be great with everyone spread out over such a big ground, especially with all the tourists there, but some of the people around us would not even stand up for Falmer, and I would be surprised if they knew what Falmer was.

No problem with standing up as the folks behind me were standing up pretty much all the time.

The only problem I had was a young boy in front of me who didn't stop waving his bloody flag - now I don't mind that so much, but he kept wacking me in the face with it ! After the third time of it hitting my face, I just grabbed it and said 'easy with the flag mate' - I felt a bit cruel, but it was bloody annoying me !

I had no problems at all, although I think this was helped by the fact that the people all around me we the same ones who I spent three and a half hours with in the queue for tickets at the Withdean so we already got on with them. This was helped by the fact that L35 is a small block of about a dozen seats in a row so we were all were sat together in front and behind rather than in a long line

me and poke kept getting told to sit down before the game even started! i can understand that his son couldnt see so after a bit of rearranging so that poke and hilton swapped places, but even when he could see better the dad asked us even before the game had kicked off if we were ever gonna sit down! had to restrain poke at times to stop her turning around and shouting at him! :lolol:

I would love to have stood the whole game, but we had some old folk and children behind us who just couldn't see, so they asked us nicely to sit down, which we tried to do, but of course, the people in front of us didn't want to sit down, so got really stuck in the middle which was a bit annoying. But loved every minute of it.
