In my ignorance of how this actually works, I didn't realise it was down to one person to fork out their hard earned cash to provide this service for everyone else for free.

I was thinking that. If you want to increase performance get rid of that 1/4 Meg avatar you've got .

I use North Stand Chat so often I'd be happy to pay say £1 a week for my fix. Maybe more. If you get a few people like me I'm sure we could afford £100 a month?

A dedicated server would be the answers to the problem.

What incentive could be given for people to pay to use NSC? Access to Restricted Forums? A Gold Star by their name?

Just a thought.

Surely there are 100 regular users willing to pay that?
