Sorry should have communicated something about this.
I turned it off at the request of the hosts to see what difference it makes to our server usage.
This has come after the hosts made a polite request that our business was not welcome in it's current form - mainly due to the heavy load around the time of the Falmer decision.
The alternative is a dedicated server and the price quoted (although I have not shopped around) was about £100 a month. Somewhat more than the £25 or so a month that NSC costs me currently. As you can probably guess, I'm not keen to pay out £100 a month if I can help it.
Searching off again, I am afraid, so we can monitor the performance difference.
