This is very much the definition of not broke and not in need of fixing. Every game I look for this thread to give some sane perspective on the latest result.

I can see an argument for tweaking the Europe tracker but won't lose any sleep over not changing it. There is also a view to leave it unchanged which helps with comparing seasons to season.

Thank you @Giraffe for running this. It really helps .

Thanks for another brilliant thread @Giraffe

An absolute must read for me. And I’ll keep reading it in whatever format you choose. 👍

May I add my thanks @Giraffe and my support to the motion to leave things as they are.

The club has three targets. To stay in the premier league, to consistently finish in the top 10, and push for a place in Europe.

Each to their own. However, for me, the basis of the tracker, and your three methods of presentation, reflect these ambitions very well.

Yep agreed.

I hope you don’t take the discussions as a sign that your trackers aren’t appreciated. They are one of the best threads on NSC.

I always like the league tables as a helpful guide to who’s had an easy / hard run and might be in a slightly false position.
No absolutely not. It’s a good healthy debate. And I think a lot of the comments make sense when compared to this season. But this season feels odd in lots of ways and therefore I think I would be a bit knee jerk to change based on this. Let’s see how it progresses next season?

I do like the idea of a comparison to last year's same games though - because that would reflect things like Wolves' bizarre inability to beat us wherever we both are in the table, Man Utd's appalling home record, and our troubles with Fulham.

The "To Avoid Postecoglou Bashing - The Staying Up and Europe Tracker - season 2024-25 Game 38 Update" thread didn't even make it on the Staying Up tracker.

You can always set up and look after such a thread.
I'm sure there would be interest in that alongside @Giraffe 's tracker.

Good idea, I might do that. Although I think the views of Giraffe's tracker would be far higher! It's a staple viewing after every game.
Happy for you to post it into next seasons thread as well. I certainly don't have the monopoly on this.
