Hi there Crabbers. Just recovering from a wonderful weekend on the piss watching the arrogant English take a beating The Millenium Stadium. I really do love that place.

For once I agree with you. I couldn't CARE how Englands football team do, but for rugby, its damn important to see them fall flat on their faces :lolol: :lolol:

My cousin is a big Peterhead fan

A very good team. Very little would give me more pleasure this season than Peterhead finishing above Gretna (other than the mighty Wasps sneaking promotion at the death). Saw Peterhead over the holiday period. They looked good, but it's f***ing freezing at that ground - on a hill, a few hundred yards from the North Sea.

Crabbers - is it really going to be another year before you make it to a Cowdenbeath match? Bloody hell...

The team that gave the world so many laughs at the 74 and 78 World Cup Finals
:lolol:

which England weren't good enough to qualify for.

P.S. Scotland were the only unbeaten team in the 1974 World Cup and were the only team to beat Holland in the 1978 World Cup other than Argentina but I wouldn't expect you lot to remember that.

Your comments are fair ( and correct) England were no where near good enough...but although unbeaten in 74 failed to progress beyond the group stage and 78...Peru and Iran ?

Arrogant? Arrogant? We KNEW we were going to lose! We did really well to limit the much-vaunted Welsh to a two point victory. It's nice though, gives someone else a chance. I'd like to see Ireland win it this year.

PS - You know full well that you Scots are the most arrogant people on the planet - after perhaps the Australians. Remember the 'master race' in 1978 with Ally McClown saying "The worst we can do is finish 3rd?"

is that in argentina when the "LOYAL"scots fans sung

we're on the march
we're allys army
we're all going to argentine
and we'll really shake them up

when we sing

"WHAT A LOAD OF RUBBISH"
and
"WE WANT OUR MONEY BACK"

when the mighty scots lost to peru bolivia tiawan or some such mickey mouse team

You'll certainly get no argument from me on that one. The 70s was Scotland's era and boy didn't you lot rub it in (hence my 'arrogant' comment on the other page). England were dire throughout the 70s and didn't qualify for for the finals of ANY tournament. The fact that Emlyn Hughes is considered a 'great' England player tell you all you need to know about how poor we were. That's why Sven, for all him bumbling and ineptitude, is entitled to point at his record and say "I'm the best manager you've ever had".

No arguments here as to who is the best side by far out of the home nations......it is England.

No arguments as to how poor we are. But remember one thing. It will only make it worse should you evre find yourselves playing us again and not doing well.

My God I can see it now........life on here will be hell for most of you.:lolol:
