For saturdays race here is some experts advice
firstly you will require a horse that likes fast ground
avoid any horse priced over 33-1
choose a jockey with course experience and weighted between 10-8 to 11-4
no grey has won since nicholas silver in the 60s

or you could do it the her indoors way , these are simplified equations that somehow work more often than the rule of thumb expert advice above,
1. i like the grey horse
2. a lucky number i dont care what the price of it is
3. the jockey has nice eyes
4. last and most importantly , the oooooooh i like the name of that 1

Put £1 on every horse to win. There are 22 horses on 40/1 or over, so you might just get your money back.

I've done FOUR horses AP, the pick of which I'd say is CALGARY BAY
The other three are:
Tidal Bay
Quinz
Vic Venturi

Get the list of runners in front of you, close your eyes and point at one. The National is ridiculously hard to pick and an absolute lottery.

last and most importantly , the oooooooh i like the name of that 1

The only 2 times I've ever picked the winner of the National was using the "name" formula

2004 - Amberleigh House, because my step-daughter is called Amber and one of my best mates is called Leigh
1986 - West Tip, because I was in the RAF at the time and one of my Sergeants was Sgt West
