6th in the table, less than two hours to travel and they take how many? 400 at tops...absolutely pathetic...I hear Plymouth took nearly 1,000 to Sunderland for an 880 mile round trip...in MIDWEEK!

To be fair it appears to be partly due to their away ticketeting policy, however, they were on general sale from their ground all yesterday. There was a thread about this yesterday.

There biggest fan made it yesterday though, he was the one in black who kept running around on the pitch with a whistle in his mouth.

Indeed (on both counts).

We made 900 to Plymouth on a Tuesday night when we were crap. And 550 to Brighton on a Monday night when we were crap. So this away ticketing "policy" is a farce.

Bad game all round. We will still never make the playoffs.

Why?

I thought you didn't play that badly last night. You looked good on the break and totally dominated the midfield. If you are not playing well yet still in playoff position, then surely you can only get better.

I suppose thats a fair point. I don't see the other teams around us playing badly and yet we still seem to be above them. If we refind proper form then we should be OK - bearing in mind that BHA sat deep for the whole of the first half and we didn't have ANY idea how to break through that, whereas Wigan scored 4 in that time, it shows the differences between the sides.

At least the midfield worked last night - that I am happy with as its been the biggest problem of late!

550? I doubt that somehow. That crappy stand holds 600 and there was plenty of space in there. More like 400.

550 was the figure BBC Berks quoted.

That crappy stand (which holds 756 actually) had 200 spaces. So I'd say that if you saw 200 spaces in a stand that you thought held 600, then your estimate wasn't too inaccurate after all... just that you had the capacity wrong! :dunce:

Which ever way you look at it, for a team challenging for the playoffs averaging attendances of around 15 thousand not to sell 756 tickets for a game down the road is piss poor.

I think its more a case of "we were top of the league, why didn't we invest to stay there rather than inevitably slip down when injuries struck? Hence a lot of fans are annoyed at what could have been, and if we didn't make the playoffs then it'd be a disappointment! - I think that'd be the same for any club regardless of size and history, to lose out on an entire half-season's worth of good work!

I'm not that downhearted... given the "signings" we've made this close-season I think 6th would be a good effort. If we could be this season's Palace or Wolves (from the season before) then that'd be what I'm hoping for the most!

It's a terrible division, and the stat that probably nails that more than anything is Reading's 2 wins in 13 (since Boxing Day?) and still in the top six. What a joke.

It's funny how the like of Sidwell can say things like that in public, and how Steve Coppell is able to sit cosily with his former chairman.

I think this is because both realise they are playing for a bobbins club with clacker-stick fans who have no passion for the game. And obviously, both would wisely JUMP at the chance to come back and play for Albion (a PROPER football club) if we had a ground.

Na. We sat deep because Wigan scored 4 goals!
