Time for a new forum

There is no difference.
There certainly wasn't any difference in the domestic world of Alf Garnett, back in the sixties and seventies. And it's interesting that, these days, there is a widely held view that the programmes are "unrepeatable" on TV, because of the "now-unacceptable-in-any-circumstances" racism of the lead character's language.

The parody was always understood - and, obviously, we all understand the parody in the original post. But I am absolutely certain that any attempt to start a thread with a sentence like "I've noticed recently that there have been a few threads spoiled by the intervention and/or contributions from gays / Asians" wouldn't survive for very long.

I like the predictability of NSC, I knew certain people would be all over this thread and that Vicki would provide the amusing posts like the funny lady she is. A rare quality in the female i find these days. But a funny lady is a great one.

I hear there is a woman's show being advertised on radio. Is that sexist then?

Ladies Day at the races?

thankfully the majority of us have become educated and views have changed since the 60's and the 70's - but also one would hope that we are also educated enough to spot a parody and accept it for what it is without wringing our hands and wetting our pants that someone might be offended.

I've noticed recently that there have been a few threads spoiled by the intervention and/or contributions from women.

Either they simply don't understand the post (could be too technical, a bit beyond their naturally limited intelligence or simply just mans stuff) and consequently post irrelevant nonsense.

Don't get me wrong, I'm all for letting the ladies have their say and join in but I think there should be a curfew on NSC. I suggest that they are only allowed to post between the hours of 09.30 and 15.30. That should allow time to get the school run done and make sure that they have sufficeint time to have tidied up, washed and ironed, prepared a meal for their man upon his return from work/pub/match and so on.

It wouldn't be fair to completely exlude them from NSC outside these hours - there may be no children to deal with, their man might be on an all-dayer and doesn't need anything to eat until later in the evening, or early morning, or it could be a special occassion and her duties are relaxed for the day. What I propose is that a new forum is created for the ladies outside their permitted hours and it is called 'The Kitchen'. Maybe we could dig out a couple of old maids to moderate it - ensuring that any recipes posted are accurate and in both metric and imperial measures, there are no sexist/anti-men comments posted, and that any suggestion of spending time on the forum rather than carrying out their chores results in, intitially at least, a ban long enough to allow the tasks to be carried out before the poster can log back on.

Also any women who basically step out of line during their alloted times could, as in real life, be sent to 'The Kitchen' to consider their actions. Maybe Bozza could get someone to set up some sort of timed ban that can be cancelled once a predetermined time penalty has been served and by entering a password or phrase access to the mens forums is allowed again. May I suggest phrases such as 'I was in the wrong again, forgive me' 'would you like me to bring you a beer' or for the more serious bans, ' I'm so sorry sweetheart let me give you a bj'

Well chaps what do you say?

Do you know what bothers me more than anything, the colours on your little badge .Get that right first then start spouting off about women cos at the moment you should be on BBS. At the moment you are visually abusing us Albion fans.

We don't have many women on here do we? There's the 5.0 and that one that carried out a cringeworthy relationship on here for a while and one that couldn't organise a balti in a curry house and a few other bits and bobs, It's usually too painful when a poster reveals themselves to be female, certain posters start tripping over their own heads to curry favour. No, the OP is quite right, we can work up to a full ban.

Sorry LB it you think I'm testing the water to being racist, are you testing the water to reveal yourself as a full on ****?

Are there any intrinsic give away signs that reveal women posters ?

PMT is a big give away. Look out for over aggressive, don't argue with me sun shine threads or responses and yup, it's a woman. My Sewyn and I were having a long discussion the other night, whilst sharing a bubble bath, about the gift of tolerance. Women are wonderful creatures so I'm told, so to all of you hetrosexual men folk I say "treat the little lady in your lives with love and respect".

I'm not heterosexual though. (Ssshh there are a couple of posters on here who don't like me mentioning that even though I only say so on relevant posts) Anyway, the point is, my other half displays all such characteristics and yet the tolerance goes out the window. I said the other day 'You'd give women a bad name'. He then said to me 'Just cos you go to football matches doesn't make you a red blooded macho man, all people need to do is take a peak at your record collection....'

Yes, they have breasts and a vagina, and are typically less hairy.

Well you say that Edna but some of the birds I went with after a night on the ale had more hair than I did !!
