I couldn't get a match ticket, and I was unable to commit to a season ticket due to work insecurities. As I'd followed the Albion in the bad times, friends did their best to source me one. Then a couple of days before the game news came through that a chap down the road had a spare. After dropping him off at the hospital after I'd bitten his hand off, I returned home with a deep inner glow. I was going to be there. A day I'll never forget.
