Yes, he is now an 'ex' :(

and i was also quite happy to do the curtains myself, but he insisted on doing something DIYish in my place....it took him almost 2 hours!!!

Don't "SORT" your boyfriend out b4 he starts work on your curtains, it will make his knees wobbly.

Start painting the hallway knowing damn well you cant reach the high bits, then get 'big strong boy' to finish the job for you! :)

Bloody hell, this must be a female thing, I thought only my missus was that daft. She did exactly the same with the outside walls!!!

Women clearly can't read maps or climb ladders!!!

I haver a tendancy to have a go at everything myself, and now I know why good tradesmen charge what they do !

an easy calculation is if the tradesmen does it in half a day and charges what you earn in a day, pay the tradesmen, he'll do it twice as fast, you won't have to spend £100 on tools to do the job that you'll never use again, AND the tradesmen will do it right for the price, rather than you f***ing it up right royally and having to take the sarchastic digs from the wife/tradesman . . .and you save a day off/weekend

never take the cheapest quote because its cheap . . .theres a reason why its cheap.
