I did indeed. I guess that counts as an away game. Only one more to go to meet my usual quota of three. :clap2:

You took the words right out of my mouth. You don't like leaving sussex do you?
After a home game you leg it home to start tapping away on nsc.Even after a good result you don't hang around for a beer or two do you.You wonder why you haven't got your leg over for years or pulled. When i did meet you at the pub,all you drank was diet coke and ate pork scratchings. You embarrassed me.:tosser:

Actually Algie, when you manage to leave England, I shall take advice on travel. Going to Gillingham with some young boys you have met on the internet, does not put you in the same category with Sir Ranulph Fiennes. I only need Antarctica to complete the full set of contients, so leaving Sussex is hardly an issue.

I am unsure as to how you think you know about my sex life, but thanks for caring. If you have any tips, I would be delighted. I am sure you have many a notch in the bedpost and have happily settled down by now. You must be pushing late 30s?

i was impressed with mcleod he looks like the best signing so far, forster looks out of shape and we all know that he will get better he just has to find his shooting boots and get back to work, murray looked good as well, it was nice to see virgo back.

the left back looks decent i think we shud sign him, but a back up experineced one wud be good as well. we may need a new striker or we could move jakey to fw again.

but all in all it looks very promising, all beit from two games so far but if we make a few more signings then we can go up.

I was most impressed with McLeod who appears to be happy kicking with either foot and is quite quick plus he got in plenty of crosses early he is a rare commodity that we have been missing for some time.

Haswell looked to be fairly competant nothing special but no great mistakes.

Lynch shows yet again he is prone to mistakes and losing the ball in dangerous positions.

El Abd looked the best of the 2 right backs that we had today but then also looked comfortable in the holding midfield role.

I suspect a difficult time ahead for Whing but he did manage to keep the ball on the park most of the time.

Elphick, Virgo, Hawkins all looked good in central defence and I wouldnt worry about any 2 of those playing.

Thomson showed some nice touches and I expect him to excel this season.

Neither goalkeeper had anything to do so must have got quite bored with the game.

Chamberlain looks to have come ona bit and showed he will be on the fringe of the first team.

Forster and Murray seemed to be easing their way to fitness and didnt have to do much to beat a poor Worthing defence.

Cox and Robinson both very quiet didnt do much either right or wrong.

Fraser & Mayo did OK.

Dixon, I think that we paid over the odds for him.

Gatting the best that can be said is he has scored a good few runs for Brighton Brunswick this summer.

Overall impression the allround performance was an improvement on previous displays against Worthing.

all the glowing reviews of Mcleod, it seems he is going to play a big part in the promotion push for next season, hopefully he excels and becomes one of the main threats.

well at least we know Kerry Mayo cannot play left midfield

How exactly do you know that?

He played there for about ten minutes of the second half before swapping with Haswell. In those ten minutes he looked pretty good ... much better than Haswell in that role.

Although he didn't have much to do, what was really noticable about Sullivan was how big he looks now. Unlike most of our previous youth team keepers, he has really filled out and looks to have the physical presence needed for a goalkeeper at this level.

What, Worthing pre-season friendly level? Hope that's what you mean, cos he won't be taking FDM's spot this side of Xmas

Don't expect him to either - it's just nice to have a backup keeper who looks like who could step in if needed. Just think back to our dwarf keeper Chris May who was allegedly 6'0" tall.

Sully is a great up and coming keeper,if anyone goes to reserve games will testify,if he gets his chance i hope he takes it.Nothing to do yesterday but controlled his back line well.

my own view of yesterday's beauty contest .... if selecting an XI solely based on the competing players yesterday at each position it would be

KUIPERS
WHING VIRGO ELPHICK MAYO
McLEOD EL-ABD THOMSON COX
FORSTER MURRAY

Of course we have not seen Currie or Livermore yet ... and Lynch/Hawkins could also put pressure on Virgs/Elph for those starting centre-back places. Neither Kuipers or Sullivan had anything much to do but experience tells for the time being.
