On the 30th april 'for profit' abortion clinics will be allowed to advertise the encouragement of murder on tv and radio. Discuss

BBC News - Abortion clinics cleared for TV by advertising body
Regardless of your opinion on the subject, it's not murder. Murder is unlawful killing, whereas abortions are legal.

And where do you get 'be allowed to advertise the encouragement' from? You've made that up haven't you. I very much doubt they'll be allowed to say 'Are you enjoying life? Well you won't with a baby to look after, come to us and we'll sort it out.'

Murder is when a man of sound memory and of the age of discretion, unlawfully killeth within any county of the realm any reasonable creature in rerum natura under the King's peace, with malice aforthought, either expressed by the party or implied by law, so as the party wo, or hurt etc. die of the wound or hurt.

in sum, something has to be born to be murdered,

im pretty sure they will not be encouraging anything, but allowed to advertise the existance of their clinics and mention the services they offer. they will not be screaming like the PVC windows fella " i said, if you get preggers, you can have it out by tea!!".

Abortion is not illegal so therefore it is not murder, you may disagree with the ethics of abortion but you are wrong to call it murder. I strongly believe it is the right of a woman to decide on whether to abort a pregnancy, and with respect to you and anyone else who holds your view on the subject, it is not for you to decide that they are commiting murder by terminating a pregnancy. Why shoudn't a private company be allowed to advertise a legal service ?.

OK I can accept you definition of murder at a stretch as the argument for "after birth " is as spurious as arguments for slavery in the 1700s "Well its always been that way etc etc".

But wouldn't preventing a woman whos life was in danger from terminating a life be also a deliberate act of murder?

Why do you fall back on hocus pocus scripture that hates women? Mind you the modern view hates men instead. Why not support the Equal right to choose rather than womens privelege? It would reduce the number of "murders" and be more egalirarian, you could make amendments for quirks like the example I gave.

Medicine has advanced on a massive scale since your Biblical book of fairy tales was written, so why not take a more measured approach than an absolutist stance based on what someone thought over 2000 odd years ago.

What is your position to claim someone is a murderer? Would you be willing to call someone whom has had an abortion a murderer to their face?

Yea thats how it works. They are then offered absolution if they ask forgiveness from the holy sky monkey, know their place and make donations to the church/mosque/Sinagogue/temple etc.

Yes in the eyes of man made laws it is 'legal'. Which is why you all think it's ok. Funny how alot of you get very passionate and opinionated about stephen lawrence, jamie bulger etc etc. but when it comes to a baby who hasn't had the chance to take its first breath and see the beauty of the world, then its ok. It is still the taking of a life. It is still a human knowingly taking the life of another. The double standards is amazing. Because society says it's ok you don't question it.
