Everyone get in here!

I'm feeling a bit jealous of all the excitement regarding tomorrows friendly... so I wanted to take a moment to reflect on why I didn't try and get tickets for it.

The fact I live in Manchester aside...

I decided I'd rather wait till the first competitive match to go to the Amex, to my mind making it extra special. So who's with me?!!!

Note: I'm not saying my way is better, no way, but who else has thought along the same lines I wonder... so must contain their excitement for a MASSIVE 8 days more?!

Those who are local and could have made it might be regretting it this evening? Come on you ARE regretting it aren't you????

I am so f***ing excited....and frankly it's pathetic.

I thought i would be regretting my decision not to go, especially after having a walk around the ground this afternoon, but am still glad i made the decision to wait. As much as i'm sure tomorrow will be superb for those who are going, i just didn't want my first experience of Falmer to be below full capacity, or a game i'm not too bothered about the result for!

This. Although I decided against Spurs due to cost. Would have been almost £40 for tickets for me and my son and then add another £30/£40 for travel and food/drink etc. Just cant do it so it's Donny for me. I'm also going to Gills though - first night game, cheap tickets - no brainer. But I am jealous of all the people going tomorrow. The place will be jumpin.

:jester: well i can't say i blame you... you guys are bouncing off the walls. i guess i'll console myself in that i can't go every week... so i made the right choice personally... :( i'll be sure to get into the away day threads for my easily reached brum/blackpool/leicester/burnley etc and mug off anyone that's not going about how they are not a proper fan. granted this is sheer spite and completely uncalled for... but seeing you lot getting understandably HYPED as BUGGERY for 2moz... but i MUST have my petty vengeance. any innocents that get caught in the uberfan flack will be justifiable collateral damage :jester:

Got to respect every individual fan's decision to mark the advent of the new stadium in their own way. It's all down to personal choice.

Donny game for me also. Bit of a pilgrimage tbh. It has to mean something, rather than be a bit of light entertainment

Still very happy with my decision, Donny game is the big one in my eyes and I can't bloody wait and taking my eldest boy makes it even more special and to see him so excited makes me even worse. Long week ahead I feel!!! But anyone going tomorrow or making Donny their first game enjoy with all you can muster as days like this will never happen again.

Originally wasn't going to go...but am now. Really pleased too, as apart from the 'entertainment' etc, the minutes silence and 'abide with me'....will be a truly emotional time to reflect about the last 12 years.
Wouldn't miss this for anything.

The Donny game is indeed a massive day, but for those of us who never got invited for a tour the SSCF and Spurs games almost make up for it. The SSCF was good to be at because it wasn't heaving and I got to see the stadium in a more leisurely way. Tomorrow will be a great day for everybody who is there-I can't wait to get there, especially as I've included my dad in the list in the programme of Albion fans who didn't make it to The Amex. Might be suffering allergies tomorrow...

Sorry, I shouldn't be in here should I? bye

This, exactly this. A time for reflection, it's been a long hard battle but tomorrow is where it ends and we move into a brand new era.
I will think of my younger brother, I'll think of my grandad, neither of them survived to see this day that we've all waited so long for. I will probably cry, but when the ref blows that whistle, I will breathe a big sigh of relief and sing my heart out on this great great day.
Yes I'm extremely glad Im going tommorow and didn't wait until Donny.
