It's the slow decline into implicating her brother i found particually amusing..

Gwylan, your defence of fellow 'Scoombers is allways admirable..

Well, I wasn't really defending them, there are plenty of scumbags in 'Scoomb. What I don't like is the casual implication that everyone in Moulsecoomb is a criminal or scrounger - there are plenty of hard-working people there.

As to this story, my immediate thought was that this was a troll. Re-reading it, I'm still sure that it's a fake - it seems too over-the-top.

Hmmm, I don't know. She's got a pretty firm grasp of the many names involved.

Having some knowledge of the people mentioned, it wouldn't surprise me if she was for real. Sadly.

So if you believe that, Edna [in a professional capacity] would you be obliged to do something about it?

She's clearly stated, that an 'inacent' man is inside, and that the dealer is one of his sons. [well, ALL of his sons, probably...]

..and names that have been published in the Argus already.

Like I said, my first impression was it was a troll but I'm not 100% sure. It was just the use of phrases like "bang out of orda" which sound like pure Sweeney. There's also the fact that the spelling is dreadful but 'dyslexia', a far harder word than 'rap' and 'order' to spell, is spelled correctly.

Never mind her connections to Brighton's shady demi-monde...doesn't she post on here as BHADeb?

Without reading it all again (it was quite painful the first time) I *think* she suggested he only held on to the gear for someone else, and then took the wrap (sic) for that person when the law came calling.

So while she clearly thinks that makes him inacent, it actually doesn't, because he'd still be committing an offence by possessing it, whether for himself or with the intent/knowledge that someone else would supply it.

Her statement itself would never stand up in court as evidence of someone else's guilt because (1) it's hearsay, (2) the court could never prove she wrote it, as opposed to someone else writing under her user logon, and (3) it would be simple enough for her to say she just made it all up because she was angry and trying to defend her mate.

In the unlikely event that the police didn't already know or suspect that other family members were involved in drugs :dunce:, I suppose they might store the information away in the intel files, but it would never be enough to indict another person in its own right.
