Oh bugger.

5.00 Newcastle - The Old Soldier 10/1.

Always a bad time to make a selection, when you've just lost and you're trying desperately to get your money back, believe me I know!

The thing about backing GG's tips is that it's a gamble in itself because you never know when he's gonna be on a good run of form, and by the time you do realise that a couple of them have come in it's too late!!

Fair play to you for sticking at it though amid all the abuse that inevitably follows when people lose money. Mr Glover, I salute you.

for some bizarre reason I've backed both these 'tips' today

I've not done very well on your tips Mr G.

My grandad gave me two very valuable pieces of advice:

1) Never volunteer for anything
2) Start betting on horses when bookies wear bicycle clips....

Sage advice indeed

Have you lost your mind? Youv'e already flushed £50 down the GG pan today.

I've got a sure thing.

Go into that bookies called "The Bank" down the high street and put £50 every week on a horse called "Deposit". Odds aren't very good, but it literally can't lose and this time next year you'll have well over £2,500.

The thing is I only bet occasionally when I know I can afford to lose!

If I lose again it will not bother me.

Its only a bit of fun.

I have dusted myself off, shaken off the dissapointment and will come back with a sure fire winner later today.

If you do, it'll be down to pure luck, rather than judgement - it wouldn't be so bad if your tips finished in the top four, but they don't even manage that.

Do you only tip based on long odds ? If so, there's probably a good reason why none of your nags come in ..............

Ah well, easy come, easy go ( if you follow ' the bookies best mate ' ).

I have tipped numerous winners and the majority come in the first 3.
