Lopez and Bruno had well over 100 La Liga appearances each, this kid, at the age of 23, has played 40 games at Segunda level. If you watched Spanish football regularly you would have heard of both of them. You would have to be some sort of obsessive to know who Jota is.

But I think that the OP is saying that we don't want players experienced in their top leagues. What we want is an unknown who has played a season in the second level of their national league. I can see why he is getting so upset that we missed out
