Nottingham, Aston Villa, Crystal Palace. In one week.
As far as challenges go, it doesn't get much tougher than that. Throw in a bit of Fulham and the ultimate nightmare would be complete. All these teams have a tendency to make things very nasty for us (and for teams similar to ours). We couldn't handle facing them in succession (and with one game being 120 minutes) and ended up with nothing. Too bad.
Now I'm not saying we're going to automatically beat the shit out of Leicester, Brentford and West Ham etc, because that would just be idiotic, but we absolutely have a better chance to get anything from these than anything from the teams we just played.
With one game a week, we won't see a knackered Mitoma limping around, stiff-legged Hinshelwoods & Estupinans in defense or backups starting due to fixture congestion. We will have time to rest and go 100% in on every single game left.
Maybe we won't go to the Champions League or even Europa League but I'm 100% certain everything won't be doom & gloom.
No need for collective depression.
