Change words if someone has better ones but I think words are better than just singing la la la.
Also alot saying our songs are too short, well this isn't.

Maybe I should be asleep instead of thinking up Vicente songs at 2am but it's a sign of the times! Off to get pills

Except in his program interveiw on Friday, he said he doesn't know anything about the nickname "The Dagger" and that it was a myth !

Well the Valencia fans called him that regardless of if he knows where it's from, in Spain they just name their players with nicknames. The lyrics are easy to sing and easy to remember and mentioning Valcencia in there.

Can you imagine the viva Vicente chorus, when everyone is singing it. Should work really well.

That nickname (el puñal de Benicalap) was given to him when he signed for VCF by the radio journalist who has been narrating all the Valencia matches for 10+ years for the Valencian radio R9. He always nickname the new players and uses that nicknames to name the players during the live commentary. Sometimes those nicknames become famous among the Valencia fans. Vicente has never used that nickname to call himself.

P.S. In Spain the journalists tend to call 'puñales' to the classic wingers.

It just takes a bit of effort, but he deserves his own song.

Agreed and I can't fault you lot for trying but every other thread on here at the moment seems to be someone penning lyrics for a song that is never going to be sung.

What is the point of the spotty oiks at the back of the North Stand?

So far they've made up one song.............which they nicked from Palace!

I am still pinching myself
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BjgZLR3tYjI&feature=related

Just learn the song with this vid...

Its a fantastic vid but you cant get a crowd singing that.
It does back up what I'm saying that we need to make the man feel our gratitude to him for coming here. We still don't have a song.

The most popular is the Viva Espana. But instead of just La la la we've got what I think are half decent, easy to remember lyrics.

I'm in the WSL on Tuesday so I'm not gonna be able to start it but if I was at the back of the North I'd be going for it (even if I look a twat) coz I think its worth the effort.

Ultras??

The Elliot Bennett song originated from here.

Brilliant and why did that work?

It was a simple tune and had very few words to learn. The people on here who think they are Lennon and McCartney have zero chance of there songs catching on.

Even with the Bennett song people couldn't make their minds up on the words.

OK forget the lyrics then and just go;
"La la la la la la la Oh VIVA VICENTE"
"La la la la la la la Oh VIVA VICENTE"
"La la la la la la la Oh VIVA VICENTE"
"La la la la la la la Oh VIVA VI-CEN-TE"!!!!

That cant be hard to learn. Better than nothing and its still unique.
