its the "positive" thing to do... with the pitch and weather unlikely to be very different tomorrow, you take 1st and 3rd innings in favour of 2nd and last...

sounds like both Monty and Hoppo were a bit unlucky - impossible to say without being there but the occasional "bad day at the office" scenario is inescapable during a cricket season...

FWIW, it would take a blind optimist to really expect great things from our current opening pair (and that is going to put the middle order under pressure) but that won't stop me "supporting" them each time they are selected
