Was that supposed to happen? I know the Americans like instant action, but...

They've fixed it this year to boost excitement as they're shitting themselves about the imminent arrival of GOLDENBALLS.

Abort, retry, fail
I always find it amusing how you get these wild celebrations for moving the ball forward three yards or a mass hysteria when they managed to wrestle the ball away in a mass pile up. Go Dawg! You da man! :unclesam:

Perhaps we should adopt a similar approach, when Kerry beats a man to the ball or El_Abd makes a clean tackle...

Why is American football so f***ing boring? And shit. A bunch of idiots wearing crash helmets and shoulder pads, running around dropping the ball and bumming each other when they do manage to catch it.

:shootself :nono: :nono:

Maybe someone can answer this for me:

Why is the game apparently kicking off at 11:24 pm (UK time) tonight?

Seems like a bizarrely specific time to me, wouldn't either 11:15 or 11:30 (US equivalents of, anyways) make more sense?

$2,000,000 per advert, the game fits in around the adverts. that why its a stupid start time

I really should be going to bed but I've come this far now. But then again I am starting to feel slightly bored. The coin toss was the highlight for me so far. So many people were involved it was incredible, and why did the players have to wear their helmets while the coin was being tossed? it wasn't a big coin...just your standard size?
Oh well, another beer and I may (hopefully) pass out.

If the World Cup Final ever becomes SO commercialised that the kick-off time is moved to 7:23 or something equally senseless just to boost advertising revenue, then that's where I stop loving our game.

Let's just hope that's one American trend that NEVER catches on in our sports. I love America as a place, but I can't stand their TV, the whole thing is so ridiculously commercial that it just feels as if the programmes are interrupting the adverts.

Superbowl Last night

Can't see anything on it. Saw the first quarter then fell asleep :(

Heard that the bears were PANTS and the cults won with ease.

That touchdown return from kick-off was something else :O

[EDIT] I am blind as i didnt see the thread :(

Sorry all! please delete mods if you can :)
