You're paying way too much for your coffee!!!
Adelaide average is $3.43
2012 Release: 2012 Q1 - The Real CPI - Cappuccino Price Index

Have to say having spent December & January in Adelaide I agree with ESG. Could not get a good cup of Americano [long black] except in Harndorf, but the prices! Yes petrol, not diesel, is cheap depending on the day of the week you buy it. Public transport is a delight, clean, plentiful & cheap, actually like it is in Spain.

Miss Moneypenny on yesterdays Scrimpers said that Madame Tussauds was only £15 if booked on line. I havent been for years but my son tells me that Chessington charge for car parking which I consider to be a rip off and should be refunded at the gate on payment of the admission to avoid indiscriminate parking.

Not a tourist attraction but 3D cinema seems a total rip off.

Drusillas is awful value but is still much better value than Beaulieu car museum. To take a family of four (2 adults) costs £70 and you still have to pay for any of the good rides once you're inside. Dreadful place.

I find it less relaxing too. Have to focus on various parts of the screen whereas 2D just take it all in. That maybe my age though!

No it's not your age, Ridley Scott had to stop himself from saying 2d is better whilst on the Kermode film review last week. And having tried 3d now, I would agree. This is aside from the fact that you can't pause, smoke, make tea, stretch out, drink wine and discuss flaws etc. Am I sounding old now?

A certain 18 year old agrees with this. Maybe I'm getting old too? :jester:

I noticed it especially when I watch Avatar. I saw it twice, 2D and 3D. When I watched it in 2D I was free to look around at the fabulous scenery and creatures, but in 3D it's just Jake and N'tiri in focus all the time and all the stuff they spent years designing is all wonderfully out of focus in the background. :nono:
