Legend is a very overused term these days and means very little

I agree but he is a cricket legend in my view, magnificent batsman

Great player but could be a cocky little tit.

Ponting is definitely a legend. Childish and petty to suggest otherwise.

Not a likeable man (in many ways similar to our own wonderful FIGJAM) but look at the Stats you cannot deny the fact he was an integral part of a magnificent cricket team and a great batsman.

Definitely a cricket legend, although i don't think we have seen the last of him.

Apparently . . . .

He has been doing extra daily work in the gym over the last 6 weeks and has now secured the training/coaching services of Joe Bugner and Bob Mirovic as well as funding from Cricket Australia with the aim of (licences permitting) boxing Andrew Flintoff in a catchweight(?) bout on the undercard of an inaugural 'fightnight' to be held at the City Ground on Sat 6th July 4 days before the Ashes series kicks off for real at Trent Bridge on the 10th.
