Stewards seem to come in two types.

The sensible ones who realise that things will be fine if you don't
hastle people and be reasonable - like those at Coventry yesterday.

Then there are those morons like the ones at QPR and Plymouth
who seem to enjoy just making lives difficult for themselves and us for no reason. I despise these low-lifes......

or is it just me?

The stewards on the concourse were ok although they insisted you went up the steps of the correct block according to your ticket. They didn't notice then which row you stood in or the fact that you could walk across the back to get to where the singers were.

But what was going on the overflow at the front? At one point there were a dozen stewards and as many police. I heard (but not sure if true) that a steward threw a punch.

I though the stewards were okay at Cov.
Me and my mate (+ his lad) paid on the gate but came through different turnstiles. When we realised we were going to be forced to sit in our ticket seat numbers, the steward took us back to the turnstile and asked the ticket man to re-issue 3 tickets with consecutive seat numbers - no fuss at all.

Thought the stewards were great. I complained that a pillar was in the way, and the chief steward went to great lengths to get me reseated.

The stewards were first class.....I was taking a piccie of my daughters at half time, and one of them came over and offered to take a picture of all three of us. They also let us stand for the whole game - I don't remember a single rendition of "Stand Up if you want Falmer" :)

Work it out
I have to agree the stewards at Cov were great! First time this season I have been able to concentrate on the whole game without being constantly harrased and told to sit down, a la leeds and plymouth. Unfortunately concentrating on the game has...finally......made me realise what a trolly McCammon really is.....:glare:

Yeah the stewards were great and let everyone stand for the whole game - apart from the fat twat at the front who was obvioulsy just up for some action. 1 brighton fan stood up on the edge of the pitch for a couple of seconds (yeah whats the point) and then got back down - fat steward comes round and starts having a word (ok) and gets a bit of banter back (to be expected if you are a steward). Unhappy a having the piss taken out of him he wades into the fans and gets lumped a couple of times and throws punches around. None of the other stewards join in and just pull him out. Stewards police crowd around and one birghton is arrested. At the end of the game the coventry fans near brighton are taking the piss a bit (so what) and the same fat bastard charged into the coventry end (alone again) and threw a punch at a coventry fan - the fan punches him and legs it away whilst his mates take the piss out of him. Apart from him they were the best all season.

Yeah agreed definitely the best all season. And it improved the atmosphere with everyone standing. They were some of the home fans stood as well.
