Lets be honest, if Mr Burns and The Hitman do know something but wont grass up their sauce, thats fair enough and I dont blame them. Lets hope they are right, but anyone could post "I know something but I cant say" dont really see the point in that. Its a bit like teaseing a kid with sweets you have no intension of giving him, or you dont really have them in the first place. So whats the point, just makes it sound like attension seeking?....."I know something you dont and im not gunna tell you, na na nana na"......really, put up or shut up.

Keane, Interesting ??????????

I wonder ???

Not a hope in hell.
Sorry, but some people really do need a reality check. There's what could be seen as a special player, but anyone thinking Robbie Keane would come here is insane.
Just did a quick search and his wages (when he joined Celtic on loan) were reported to be around £80,000 per week. Why on earth would Spurs let him on loan to a club two leagues below, yet still pay £75k a week for his wages. Earlier today was linked with Wolves and Stoke for around £5 million.

I don't normally post what my saurce tells me, but with this one, it is so hard not splurting it out as it really is VERY exiting, so i feel i should tell people what i can which is that this (if he signs) will be the most exiting signing for many years

Where on the excitement-ometer is it?

Is it as jaw-droppingly exciting as Bobby Smith joining from double-winning Spurs in the 60s? Or as moistly exciting as shelling out £240k for Teddy Maybank?? Or is it the level of excitement generated when Liam Brady became boss or Bobby Z was signed for a six-figure fee in div 4? As a doctor says... on a scale of 1 to 10 with 10 being excruciating - how painful (exciting) is this potential signing on a scale of 1-10?

I would be more excited if it was going to be a permenant signing but will be quite happy if it is a loan that can transform us and score from some of the chances we create and thus allow us to win the league.

Ok so lets dream a minute..Owen, well he has not got three games on the trott in him and would be injured in this league in a heartbeat. Keane just wont happen, spurs could still get a big fee for him. That leaves Phillips on loan till june, then would possibly have a year left in him in championship. Getting on a bit but still seems fit enough and Murray would be perfect for him, with flick ons and lay off. So my guess is, its got to be Kevin Phillips.

I would consider a special player to be somebody like Daniel Sturridge of Chelsea who was rumoured in the paper a couple of weeks ago about going to Swansea managed by Brendan Rogers (ex Chelsea) Why not a side managed by Gus Poyet ex Chelsea!

Genuine excitement would not in my mind be Kevin Phillips, good acquisition though that would be. Michael Owen would be in that bracket bur how can that happen?!

I am struggling to see how this can be true. Other than a very recent international that has quickly fallen from grace and Owen is the only name that cones to mind, or perhaps Heskey. I think Keane is just plain crazy and just can't happen
