Well I'd vote for all of them, shame we don't have a candidate in Seaford.

TIM CARDER - ABSOLUTE STAR

For those of us doing the rounds & delivering leaflets for The Seagulls Party - our task has been made so easy through Tim's incredible organisational skills.

Each Ward is divided into rounds - each round is numbered & a map and details of every residence on the round is provided. Each round takes about an hour - and it really could not be any easier.

If there were awards for organisational skills, we would clean up EACH & EVERY time.

Tim, quite simply you are a star.

On behalf of supporters everywhere, Thank You.

Where you find the time to do it all Tim I do not know.
You deserve a medal (and about a fortnight's worth of sleep).

Thank you everyone, but it's not quite fair as I have only organised two of the four wards.

Ed and Roz have done the other two, and I am most grateful to them for letting me off having to do that!

Besides, it was nothing compared to 26 wards (or whatever) back in 1999 and the referendum. Now that was time-consuming!

We had a phone call this evening from one of our rival candidates in Lewes who is complaining at the deceit of the Lewes Lib Dems and - in particular - the claim in their election literature that they are by far the most popular party with the Lewes electorate.

There's a plan afoot for ALL non-Lib Dem candidates to expose this attempt to mislead the electorate by means of a joint letter to the local press putting the record straight.

The Lib Dems certainly won seats in Lewes in 2003. But they didn't win them all - whatever their bar chart might suggest. And they won't win them all this time.

It's good to see that we are not the only people who refuse to be taken in by Lewes Lib Dems' deception.

The Argus isn't very encouraging, but at least they realise that The Seagulls Party is more relevant to readers than Labour, the Green Party or UKIP ...

Liberal Democrats should retain Lewes
By Lawrence Marzouk

The Lib Dems have a commanding lead of Lewes District Council and are likely to retain power.

But they face a confident Conservative Party which believes it can take control and an unusual challenge from the Seagulls Party.

The Lib Dems have 26 seats, the Tories ten, there are four independents and a vacancy.

The Seagulls Party are fielding four candidates in four different wards and, after a good poll in last year's Ouse Valley and Ringmer byelection, Ed Bassford is hopeful the party could pick up seats. He is at pains to point out that, although the party is standing on the Falmer Stadium ticket, he is also concerned about the incinerator at Newhaven and parking restrictions in Lewes - two political hot potatoes in the district.

Lib Dem councillor and chairman of Lewes District Council Marina Pepper said the council's work on recycling and regeneration had been well received.

Councillor Norman Turner, leader of the Conservative group, is predicting victory for his party.

He said the Lib Dems had not offered voters value for money and that council tax had soared since 1991, when they took control. He said: "To take control of the council we need 22 seats, which is a big job."

Independent councillor Ruth O'Keeffe is standing for her third term and believes she is well placed for four more years. A handful of Labour candidates, UKIPs, Greens and other Independents are also standing.

PM sent. Sorry, didn't realise this thread was here, too many 'stickies'! You think you know what they're all about so you don't look at them, and then lo and behold a new (and very important) one pops up ...

Good luck to all our candidates this week. Hope the campaign has gone well.

I will not be voting for the LDs in Waverley, even though they will probably be close to ousting the Tories and getting a better deal for the community, on principle that their party have shafted the club for the tune of £3m+ in legal fees!

Look forward to the coverage on the Telly on Friday.
