The SCR debate on atmosphere at the Withdean

Why bother you could not create an atmosphere there even if you exploded a nuclear device in the middle of the pitch.
If Highbury is the Libary, Withdean is the morgue.
I am f***ing sick of people saying sit down shut or we get a steward, these people must be the moaning old bastards who used to sit in the south and west at the Goldstone.

I dont disagree with you, however the reason the club are doing it is because other fans are complaining. Writing to the club etc...

Plus I would suspect (and one of the reasons will never see terraces again) is that the Police like everyone sitting down so they easily identify people if they need to. I hadn't considered that until recently, but apparently pressure comes from them.

It's a no win situation for the stewards who I actually feel a bit sorry for.

On a slightly different subject - I wasn't aware until it was pointed out that we've had a couple of POLICE FREE games this season. No police inside in the ground at all - but I've forgotten which ones. Bet no-one noticed that, I didn't.
