The Scotland situation...

I see the Scottish FA have today come out and backed Berti Vogts!!

I find it incredible that he is still in charge. The post-match interview with Barry Ferguson tells you all you need to now about morale in the side.

Surely keeping him on is football suicide? There's Strachan, Walter Smith, Joe Jordan, Dalglish, George Graham all kicking their heels.

Scotland are not as bad a squad as their results suggest.

They have no cutting edge so they should be working to make it difficult for their opponents to score. But Vogts seems unable to do that.

Although really there is no point in analysing it. Just enjoy the moment.

Sorry mate, but that team is awful. How many of them regularly start matches for a decent side?

Hove, f***ing ACTUALLY.
Vogts is still a clown, playing players that are not getting a game for their own clubs is just plain stupid, I watched most of the whole game on Sunday and McFadden was 4 yards off the pace, I find it unbelievable that Vogts did not start with Steven Thompson who is in good form for Rangers and scoring goals, and also amazed that he does not call up any of the form players in the SPL, Russell Anderson is by far the best centre back in Scotland and will move to Liverpool when the transfer window applies, he only got a game because about about 13 nobodies were injured or had theur grannies funeral to attend. Same goes for Chris Boyd of Kilmarnock, and absolute travesty this guy is not being caled up.

Vogts is a total and utter disgrace.

Amazing that Vogts is still in his job. Maybe the Scottish FA can't afford to get rid, as it may require compo to be paid out.
One more poor result and the ginger gnome must be getting a phone call.

Looking at that team, I don't think any would get near a place for a UK team. That for me is their problem, in the past they've always had a few players you'd think I wish he was English like a Dalgleish or Denis Law. Nowadays most would struggle to make the Wales squad.

The comparison with Norway is valid.

They are in a bad way, and have had some poor results. Yet they still get a vital result away from home.

Scotland at home should not be losing this game. Similarly, they should not have conceded 4 against the Welsh team on the wane.

I think this is the worst ever managerial appointment, after Hinshelwood of course.

Compensation is a MASSIVE factor here as he has a few years left of his contract.

The SFA are in a bad way because they have had very little TV money with Scotland not making a final for an awful long time, and the sponsorship deal with Safeway is not being renewed because of their recent takeover.

Vogts is also of that Erickson mind set that he is too good to resign, I really cant see them loosing to Moldova which would be the only way he may step down, so it looks as if they will have to put up with the CLOWN for a few months more.

Not only that but some MP wants Scotland to have their own TIME ZONE
That would really confuse Berti :lolol:

But Rougvie, Erikson is doing a good job so why should he resign?

No, I am not saying that he should, but Vogts comes over in that similar slightly arrogant way that Erikson did in the summer time, like if you want to get rid of me you will have to sack me, I too good to resign sort of thing, which infers that its about the money.

If they're looking for a new sponsor, and want to outdo our ironic "Skint" how about WINALOT?

They are not even on TV in Wednesday; Sky have England, Wales and EIRE.
